The Oregon School for Clever Dogs was founded in 2007 by Tammy Moody and Heather Christenson to provide a fun, progressive agility training school in the Portland metro area. Heather and Tammy believe that training should be safe, positive, high energy, and challenging for both the dog and handler.  Clever Dogs looks to provide small class sizes and individual attention with knowledgeable and creative instruction to all students from beginning to advanced.

Heather has been involved in agility since 2001 and was an instructor for Columbia Agility Team and Jump Start Agility before starting OSCD with Tammy Moody. Heather's first love is teaching Foundation classes and starting off new dogs with the solid foundation they will need to succeed in agility. She prefers to use clicker training and positive, play based methods to foster an enthusiastic working partner.  Heather has also trained in flyball, herding, obedience, freestyle and rally, though agility has always remained her main passion.

Tammy has been training dogs for over twenty years and found her love for agility in 1999. Since that time she has taught agility for both Columbia Agility Team and Jump Start Agility. Her main focus is on clear communication between dog and handler and a deep understanding of partnership on and off the course. Tammy’s background as a Veterinary Technician and a Small Animal Massage Practitioner allow her to see when problems on course may be due to physical limitations and not necessarily training issues.
