"Fun From the Start" is a three-week class focusing on what happens between the gate and the release to the first obstacle. Does your dog dislike to sit on the start line? Does he dislike having his leash removed? Does he take off away from you and the course when released? Does he self-release? Does he self-release and start the course without you? Does he show any signs of stress and/or anxiety? We will discuss and train tricks for lining up, active stays, releases, and most importantly - trust. Not just handlers trusting their dogs, but the dog's trust in the handler as well. This reward and play-based class emphasizes the FUN of teaching a start line routine. Yes, start lines are really, really fun to train for both members of the team.
Learn the steps you need to create a start line routine that makes everyone happy. Best of all you will lead out from the start line with confidence and trust in the skills you and your dog have mastered.
This three-week class is taught on a private Facebook page. You must have the ability to video your sessions and post them in a watchable format. Cost is $80 for three-weeks of assignments and eight-weeks of feedback. Class is currently in session, please check back in the summer of 2018.
